Rex Wong – CEO
Mr. Wong is a successful Internet and IT entrepreneur and investor. His recent companies include Applied Semantics, the creators of AdSense which was recently acquired by Google in 2003, and Accelertech, which was recently acquired in 2003, and where Mr. Wong served as Accelertech’s Founder and President. Mr. Wong is also the Chairman of X2 Corporation, a digital lifestyle consumer electronics company and also serves on the Board of Directors of China Genetics, DAVE Networks, Adegy and Citation Publishing. Prior to that, he served as President of Envision, a regional computer retail chain located in Southern California where he brought the company to $20 Million in sales annually, Executive Vice President for Microcom Computers, Managing Director of the Bureau of China Trade and Investment, Editor-in-Chief of China Watch and China Watch Online. Mr. Wong is a member of Emmy Advanced Technology Committee, Monte Jade, Interactive TV Alliance (ITA) and the Media Entertainment Technology Alliance and is a featured speaker and panelist at events such as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Red Herring, Digital Hollywood and NATPE.
Bruce Phillips – President & COO
Bruce has provided many different types of professional services to companies and individuals during his career. His experience includes due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, contract analysis, financial analysis, and general business consulting. In addition, he has provided accounting and financial reporting systems consulting and implementation to these businesses. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia. Bruce joined Arthur Young & Company in 1984 and was promoted to audit manager in 1989. In 1992, Mr. Phillips co-founded Harshman & Phillips, P.C. a full service professional accounting firm with a focus on growing technology and emerging service businesses.
Trey Gaskins – EVP, Business Development
Prior to his current position, Trey served as President and COO after serving as a strategic consultant in 2005. Prior to DAVE Networks, he was Managing Director of Angel Business Catalyst, LLC, a consulting firm assisting companies with developing their “Core Purpose, Vision, Mission and Values” allowing them to better align resources in strategic areas. In 1995, he started Advanced TeleMedia, Inc, a private cable television company. As founder and CEO, he grew the company for 8 years while raising over $30M. The firm was sold to Comcast in 2002, with one of the highest valuations in their market. Trey began his career with IBM in the ROLM division. During his sales and management tenure, he was promoted several times and eventually became a Regional Sales Manager for Siemens ROLM.
Jason Thomas – CTO
Mr. Thomas spent time building technology solutions for DAVE Networks before coming on as the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this appointment, he was the founder of Revolutionary Stuff LLC, a company dedicated to building innovating Internet applications whose licensees included the likes of NASD and StreamCast Networks. Jason's entrepreneurial background started earlier, when he was a co-founder and CTO of Cyveillance Inc., which he helped grow from 4 to 150 employees and helped raise over $35M in venture funding. His code and architecture there led to 2 patents and are showcased in the Computerworld Smithsonian collection. Mr. Thomas' technical skills were honed at Microsoft where he worked on Internet Explorer, the Web Consortium, and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received his BE and ME.
Doug Fulton – President of Entertainment
Mr. Fulton’s current role is President of Entertainment for DAVE Networks, Santa Monica, CA. His portfolio includes: former Executive Vice President, Europe of Jump TV. At SBS Broadcasting, SA, Europe’s second largest broadcaster, he was Senior Advisor to the CEO. Mr. Fulton accepted the role of CEO/Executive Director of SC ABC Plus Media, also known as Central National Media Group, in early 2003 headquartered in Bucharest, Romania. From 1996 through 2001, Mr. Fulton was an intrinsic member of the SBS Broadcasting, SA's executive management team. There he was awarded four Slovenian Victor Awards (Slovenia's Emmy Awards) for best original programming.
